Hey!
I’m DJ, a Los Angeles-based composer and professional who blends classical training with modern innovation to create immersive, cinematic music. My work bridges orchestral traditions with electronic sound design, often inspired by visual storytelling, travel, and atmosphere-driven environments.
I began formally taking trombone lessons at the age of 8, which laid the foundation for my musical journey and sparked a growing curiosity in other forms of music. That early connection to performance evolved over time — from playing in classical ensembles to experimenting with leftover EDM gear lying around the house. That spark of exploration turned into a deep fascination with sound, and ultimately, a lifelong passion for composition, production, and multimedia creation.
When I got to middle school - I worked as a recording engineer for the SciFiGeneration podcast, developing a hands-on understanding of audio production while continuing to perform in youth symphonies as a trombonist and percussionist. These early experiences shaped a well-rounded artistic perspective — one that blends classical composition, technology, and narrative.
I’m currently studying at Berklee College of Music, where I’ve expanded my creative range and contributed to collaborative multimedia projects. While based in Boston, I worked on a variety of productions — from live concerts to short films — focusing on orchestration, media scoring, and project coordination. Each opportunity has helped refine my storytelling through sound and deepen my appreciation for music’s emotional and visual potential.
Now based in Los Angeles and continuing my studies via Berklee Online, I’m exploring the intersection of music and media more intentionally than ever. My current focus is on composing for film, visual content, and immersive experiences — combining ambient textures, orchestral layers, and electronic elements to craft emotional, story-driven soundscapes. Whether it’s a short film, travel footage, or a standalone piece of music, my goal remains the same: to make people feel something.
